Goal setting by Ankesh Mishra

In case you want to achieve anything in life you have to have goals.

So the first step is to write goals. Goals should be to the point. Don't say that you want to build a business and be wealthy. Have goals daily, weekly and monthly. Make obstacles an opportunity to learn.

Six types of goals are given like action goals priority goals. Set a goal and don't quit until you attain it. Money management is important. Don't say you will pay credit card bills. Say you will pay in 3 months.

11 steps for goal setting are given.  when you set goals you take charge of your life. Be an action taker. The subconscious is an excellent thing you will know that you are using.

Lastly, I will say don't quit.

Airs and graces by Erica James

Erica James is a British author writing romance romances. A breath of fresh air and song of the skylark are a few novels written by her. I would say Airs and Graces is about relationships.

The plot

the story is set in Crantsford. This is a small market town.

Ellen: abandoned by her husband Ellen settles in Cranford. She runs a dry flower shop. I like the car being called Jonney foreigner. Ellen is a kind-hearted woman. Duncan is a person whom Ellen likes. I think she is on a rebound. But along comes Mattew who has feelings for Ellen.

Hermione is Ellen eavesdropping neighbour. Ellen picks up a beggar called Jo-Jo with whom Hermione does not get along. Later on, they become good friends. Also, Hermione has strange set of humour.

Jo-Jo : She has stood up to her dad and is pregnant . When she shift with ellen she feels at home. She says she has had a relationship because she was lonely.

Mathew is a painter who at first is devious of Ellen. I think Mathew and Ellen might be right for each other.

The writing style is easy to understand.I can picture Crantsford while reading.

Pratical nutrition for general fitness by Mohamed Zolfakkar

In today world due to our lifestyle fitness many times we are too fat or thin. Due to covid, most people are stuck at home. Most of us don't understand the nutrition plans and end up not getting fit. This book makes an attempt to do that.

Personal traines and nutrition experts prefer to made up plans and do not understand the concept behind them. They wi;l want you to continue paying them without telling you the basic stuff. I feel as far as our health is considered by learning a basic knowledge of the human body we can control our fitness levels.. Don't worry it is not a biology class. It goes on to say how the body converts food into calories.

There are case studies that I felt are helpful . Once the basic knowledge is understood you just have to apply it. There are terms like total daily energy expenditure which describes the total energy your bodies consumes which is equal to the energy needed for your bodily function (BMR). WOW. IT sounds confusing. I too was confused so I read it a few times more.

I found that most people would like the part teenagers and caloric deficit. These days people, in general, have an obsession with excessive leanness. This is not good. This chapter tells you how much caloric deficit a teenager should not be.

Overall I found this book helpful though confusing at times.

Next week my book review will be on airs and graces by Erica James.
