The stand by Stephen King

This novel shows us good over evil. The flu has escaped from a lab It can kill any type of antibody that comes in his way. 99 per cent of the population is killed. There are dead rotting bodies everywhere.

the character of Randall Flagg is introduced in this book. He is a villain in later works of King. The story tells us of a post an apocalyptic world. The survivors have to look for each other so as to survival. One group is behind n elderly female. The other one behind totalitarian leader named Randall Flagg.

At the beginning we see a family escape a government facility. This facility has been infected with a ready virus. The elderly female believes she is sent by God to assemble people and to help them face the dark side which is Randall Flagg.

The book is about good vs evil. The setting of the book is the USA. Some parts of the book are slow. I liked the fact that no two characters are the same. The people seem to unite through dreams.

This book is being made into a movie.

Two Dads Under the Christmas Tree by Tobias Mile

"Two Dads Under the Christmas Tree is a book for all about Adoption. In this first story of the series, Jayden will try to tell everyone what Adoption is and how beautiful the change in a child’s life can be, thanks to this form of authentic Love. Inside, you will find fun, touching moments, and a deep sense of humanity that makes the book a tool for parents and teachers to encourage children to value diversity. Often, children only see families that look like theirs. As a window into the life of a nontraditional family, Jayden’s story can be a first step to instill in children a sense of inclusivity and respect for others. In the summer of 2018, during a business trip to Venice, Italy, Tobias Mile was looking for a new idea for his next book. Destiny - as he told us - introduced him to this uncommon Italian family. Upon learning their incredible story, he was inspired to create something special featuring their adorable adopted son, Jayden. After this trip, Tobias approached our publishing company with the idea of a series of funny stories about adoption, human rights, solidarity, and respect for diversity, told by this smart child in unusual language. We immediately knew this was a story that needed to be shared to raise awareness about adoption and reach countries where same-sex couples who wish to adopt are discouraged or even denied." Attached to this email you can find the book cover. The Book is available in English, Spanish and Italian. This book s on True Colours icon on the right.

kidnapped by robert louis stevenson

This novel is a historical romance. The story starts with David Balfour . His father leaves him letter after he dies, saying to go to see his uncle. When he tries to find uncle house everyone gives him a wired look. He reaches his uncle house and his uncle tricks him.

His uncle on pretext of a business deal sells him into slavery. He travels on a boat which is shipwrecked and he makes friend with alan. Alan is a classic rogue, with some fighting skill, a gift of gab, and a gambling problem. Thus there is an adventure. There also is a political and historical background.

The writing is simple. But at times the writing is difficult because of the style of writing. It is written in lowland Scott  a Germanic language that evolved from English.

A central theme of the novel is the concept of justice.

Stevenson was living in England when writing this novel. He had a physical illness and felt homesick. Being from Scotland many of his characters are Scottish. We also see how David is developed into an adult.

I enjoyed the book .

Tinted tales by Akanksha Sharma

These are short stories. Like a kaleidoscope the  characters are colourful. The character s blend into the story.

One story talks about a haunted house. In another one a father dilama about the dowary .Another story is set in Varanasi where the last rituals of the dead are permoed.

The stories made me remember my childhood days.

Reading the book you will feel like you are part of the book. the writing style is simple and easy to to read.
The description is not a lot so as to confuse the reader.
